Mr S S Nathan was the recipient of the CBSE Best Teacher Award in 2006 and the award was given by Hon’ble President of India.

Mrs. Sashikala Sriram, Principal, Bala Vidya Mandir School was awarded the Distinguished Fulbright Award in Teaching Program by the US Government  Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs in December 2010 at Washington D C, USA.

Dr. S. Krishna Kumar - Head, Department of English at Bala Vidya Mandir (Adyar), added another feather to his cap. He lead a team of 5 of the country's finest student debaters - two of whom were from Bala Vidya Mandir - as Manager, Team India to the World Schools Debating Championship held in August 2011 at Dundee, Scotland. He was India's lone international judge at the championship. He adjudicated 4 international debates, chairing one of them. He had earlier served Team India as Assistant Manager and second judge at WSDC 2010 at Doha, Qatar.

Bala Vidya Mandir takes great pride in recognizing the unstinted efforts of its teachers who have put in years of service in the school by instituting awards.
