P.PREETHI - KARATE CHAMPION
IGKA NATIONAL LEVEL KARATE CHAMPIONSHIP ‘09
All India Karate Do Federation organized the 3rd IGKA National Level Karate Championship ’09 at JJ Indoor stadium. P.Preethi of std VIII secured the First place in the Individual Kata – 10-12 years event.
DOKOBUDO CHAMPIONSHIP & INTERNATIONAL GOODWILL KARATE CHAMPIONSHIP
20th All India Invitational Karate DOKOBUDO championship & International Goodwill Karate Championship was held at Kerala on 26th – 27th December 2009. P.Preethi of std VIII secured the First Place in women team Kata Black Belt event.
ASIAN OPEN KARATE CHAMPIONSHIP 2010
The Asian Open Karate Championship 2010 was organized by Japan Shotokan Karate Association on 30th & 31st January 2010 at Coimbatore. P.Preethi of std VIII represented India and secured the Third place in Kata U/13 yrs event. |

N.SRINIRAM - NATIONAL SWIMMING CHAMPION
|
N.Sriniram, a student of class 7 at Bala Vidya Mandir won the individual Championship for Boys Under 12 category in the CBSE National Swimming Championship 2009 – 10 at Rohtak by winning 2 Gold Medals and 1 Bronze Medal. He won the gold in 100 mts Free style and 50 mts Butterfly stroke and Bronze in 50 mts Free style scoring 18 out of a possible 21 points. |
NATIONAL SKATING TOURNAMENT
| K.Hariharan, a class IX student of Bala Vidya Mandir Sr. Sec. School participated in the 8th CBSE National Roller Skating Meet organized by the K.B.D.A.V Senior Secondary Public School in Chandigarh from 13th November to 15th November 2009. He was placed first in the Rink Race III (inline) event and second in the Road Race (inline) event. He won a gold and a silver medal at the National level. |

CBSE INTER SCHOOL STATE LEVEL SPORTS & GAMES COMPETITION 2009 – 10

The CBSE Inter-school State Level Sports & Games Competition 2009 – 10 was organized by P.S.B.B, K.K. Nagar from 5-7th October in which our school boys U-19 yrs Basketball team was the Runner’s up in the CBSE Cluster V Basketball Tournament. The team qualified for the National Level at Ludhiana, Punjab.

NSN Menon Memorial Basketball Tournament was organized by N.S.N Mat. Higher Sec. School for the 2009 – 2010 from July 1st – 4th.

On 24th of December 2009 about sixty alumni members, teachers and support staff, congregated at the school campus for a re- union. Students as early as the 1988 batch revisited their alma mater to connect with their juniors, teachers and support staff of the school.
