Special features of the school

  1. No Uniform for Kinder garden and Primary:

    BALA VIDYA MANDIR likes their KG and PRIMARY children in colourful clothes. Mainly because these children do not know how to maintain their uniform. However to inculcate the habit of wearing uniform Children are required to wear their uniform every Monday.
  2. No exam:

    Children should enjoy coming to school without the fear and worry of examinations. Learning process also includes testing their understanding level. Continuous assessment is done through class tests throughout the year.
  3. Compulsory Games:

    To Enhance the physical health of the children different compulsory games are organized for classes VI- X. Ten different games are identified and imparted by specially trained coaches.
  4. Tech support classes:

    Class room teaching is executed beyond the text book with the help of technology. Lessons are taught with the help of PowerPoint presentations projected on the monitors in the classroom with the help of Laptops.

    Wire less access to the net is available throughout the campus.
  5. Remedial centre:

    It is the unique feature offered by the school to children with learning difficulties. Help is provided by way of early identification and intervention at the appropriate time.

A counselor is attached to the centre to help children with problems concern other than learning difficulties.

 

Alumni

On 24th of December 2009 about sixty alumni members, teachers and support staff, congregated at the school campus for a re- union. Students as early as the 1988 batch revisited their alma mater to connect with their juniors, teachers and support staff of the school.
