The 22nd Annual Day for
the upper primary comprising of students of classes III, IV &
V was held on the 24th July 2009. The Chief Guest for the
occasion was Mrs.Geetha Raghuram, the Centre Head of Sans
Academy, Velachery.
The programme commenced
with an invocation to Lord Almighty. The primary school
Orchestra gave a scintillating performance by rending two
songs. The first song ‘Gowri Sudhan’ dedicated to Lord
Vigneswara, the remover of all obstacles was followed by a
fast Kavadi Sindhu ‘Valli Kanavan Perai’.
The Hindi play revolving
around a group of friends brought forth the message that truth
always conquers. The Tamil play showed what true wisdom really
is through the story of King Keerti Simman. The English play
with its beautiful and picturesque scenes transported the
audience to the land of China. It made everybody realize that
money alone cannot buy happiness.
Finally, the colourful dance drama ‘Kannapa Nayanar’ based on the theme ‘True devotion’ held the audience spell bound with its fast and rhythmic movements.
The primary school day was a memorable event as it gave an opportunity to every student to exhibit their talent on stage.
On 24th of December 2009 about sixty alumni members, teachers and support staff, congregated at the school campus for a re- union. Students as early as the 1988 batch revisited their alma mater to connect with their juniors, teachers and support staff of the school.
