Project Day - 2011 - 12

The Project Day of Bala Vidya Mandir was held on 17th December 2011. It is the most awaited and exciting event where teachers and students work at tandem, bringing out the latent and potential talents of the students to the forefront. The two week preparation period showcased the creativity, coordination and team work of the students. The theme for this year’s Project work was “Internationalism “. The topics ranged from Pet Animals, Birds ,Tree of Life , Dolls around the world, Folk Tales, Coins, Flags, Cuisines and Beverages, Egypt, Disaster Management, European Settlers, Singapore, National leaders who brought a change to Mediterranean countries. The students put up the exhibits in the form of charts, 3-dimensional models, audio video and puppetry. Students from LKG to Class XI were actively involved with each class being assigned a particular topic.

The chief guest was Mr Karl Hermann Peshstscheck, Director of Goethe Institute Chennai. He visited each and every classroom appreciating the effort and enthusiasm of the students. He also gave away the merit card to the meritorious students. Learning was made more meaningful and fun leaving a deep impact in the minds of the students, which paved way for them to be more innovative and creative through these activities.
