Project Day

The school project is held once a year where students from the kindergarten class to class 11 display models, charts and express their creativity based on the topics they are given to work on. This year the project day was held on 19th December 2009.

The day began with the Chief Guest    Mrs.Subhashini Sen   inaugurating the project display of class 11. This was followed by the official function that took place at 10:00 AM, Mrs.Subhashini Sen spoke of the lesser known art forms of India with a PowerPoint. Then merit cards were distributed to the students from classes 3 to 9 scoring above 75 % and more in their academics. After the function the projects were put on display.

The kindergarten comprising of the playgroup-BVM kids, LKG and UKG displayed the myriad “world of colors, patterns & numbers” that left parents in admiration and pride. The primary classes from 1 to 5 displayed models, charts and colorful props on their respective topics. The ambience filled with enthusiastic kids of class 1 & 2 explaining their topic Pets, classes 3, 4 and 5 their topics on Folklore of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh respectively was festive. The topics for Classes 6, 7 and 8 were Folklores of the East, West and North respectively. For students of Classes 9, 10 and 11 the topics were Arts and Crafts of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh respectively. Each class displayed their ideas in a unique, bright and different way. In the middle & high school power points were displayed while the primary students gave live demonstration of the various dance forms of the respective regions.

THE PROJECT DAY helped the students look beyond their textbooks thus making the process of learning fun-filled & exciting.

 

Alumni

On 24th of December 2009 about sixty alumni members, teachers and support staff, congregated at the school campus for a re- union. Students as early as the 1988 batch revisited their alma mater to connect with their juniors, teachers and support staff of the school.
