Navarathiri

Navarathri was celebrated by the Kindergarten section in a grand manner. Children dressed beautifully in their traditional attire and enjoyed singing songs for the occasion. ‘Kolu padi’ was arranged with dolls placed at intervals which added to the festive look. Sundal was distributed as’prasad’ and children were given a hand puppet as take home.

The primary section also celebrated the festival with great fanfare by chanting slokas and singing devotional songs. Speeches were given in English, Tamil and Hindi to stress the significance of Navarathri. Students of class V performed a dance in praise of Goddess Saraswathi. The Principal Mrs. Sashikala Sriram addressed the gathering and told the children to spend their holidays in a useful manner. The children left the auditorium in great delight after seeing the ‘Kolu’ arranged for their benefit.

 

Alumni

On 24th of December 2009 about sixty alumni members, teachers and support staff, congregated at the school campus for a re- union. Students as early as the 1988 batch revisited their alma mater to connect with their juniors, teachers and support staff of the school.
