INVESTITURE AND PRIZE DISTRIBUTION

The investiture and prize distribution function was held on Friday13 th June in School auditorium at 5.00 p.m. This function is meant to honour the students of Class –X and XII who have excelled in the Board Examination in different subjects.

    • On this day the outgoing head boy and the head girl hand over their charge to the new office bearers. The outgoing head boy administers the oath to the elected office bearers.
    •  This year Dr.N.Srinivasan,Ph.D ,Director of A.L.Mudaliar Post Graduate Institute of Basic Medical Sciences at Taramani, who is the professor of endocrinology,consented to be the chief guest and give away the prizes.
    • The function started on time and went on well.
    • The function got over by 6.  15 p.m .
    • The function was well attended by the management , parents and old students

    ELECTION -2008

    The Election for office bearers 2008-09 was held on 11.06.08(Wednesday).The election was held for 5 posts.

     

    1. Head Girl
    2. Head Boy

    3. Asst. head Girl
    4. Asst. Head Boy and
    5. Asst Sports Secretary

    The History:

    1.There was a nomination meeting on the 4rth of June by all the teachers to nominate candidates.
    2.On the 6th of June the nominated candidates were announced
    3.On the 9th of June the Candidates read /Spoke their election manifesto in the  school assembly.
    4. The election campaign was in the 9th and 10th June.
    5. The campaign stopped at 4 Pm on Tuesday the 20th of June.
    6.Election was held on the 11th of June.

    Process:

    1. The Election was held in the basement auditorium and the Social Science Department was in charge of this first activity for this academic year.
    2. The election started at 9 30am.
    3. Students were asked to cast their votes class wise section wise.
    4.There were a total of 626 students form class 6 to 12 who casted their votes for the candidates.
    5.Counting of the votes started form 1 30 PM,
    6.The results were approved and declared by the Principal at 3 20 PM
    7. The results were announced to the students at 4 PM.
