Independence Day

Independence Day was celebrated at Bala Vidya Mandir on 15th August 2011 at the school premises. The day began with the hoisting of the flag by the Chief Guest Akhilnand  Ramesh of class 12,the first student to join the  school in LKG 14 years ago .

The welcome address was given by Anita.V. Students from classes 6 to 12 were present to salute to the Indian Flag.This was followed by the flag song and several speeches in many languages such as Sanskrit, English, Tamil and French. The students from both primary and secondary spoke on both the sung and unsung heroes of our country’s Independence movement.

The day was filled with the students of various classes singing many patriotic songs by writers such as Bharathiyar . There were also a few dance performances by the students of class 6 and 7. The one hour long celebration ended with the vote of thanks by Adithya.K
