Bala Vidya Mandir has always made pioneering efforts in giving opportunities to the students to show case their hidden talents and to boost their self-confidence that put them in good stead in the outside world. As part of this tradition, 10 students of class XII of Bala Vidya Mandir, were selected to attend the Global Young Leaders’ Conference in Washington DC and New York from the 13th to the 24th of June 2010. This conference had 365 scholars from all over the world. Apart from visiting various places in Washington DC and New York they attended 3 simulations and represented different countries to hold discussions and debates on various issues of international importance. Eminent personalities such as Gillian Sorenson (Former Assistant Secretary General of the UN), Jim Donovan (MD of Goldman Sachs) and David Theiss of the World Bank addressed them.
The trip exposed the students to hone their social, managerial and personal skills in a foreign land to come back as confident future leaders.
