Science Expo

The 16th Annual Science Expo of Bala Vidya Mandir, was held on 1st September 2009. Students of classes VIII and IX from nearly fourteen city schools participated in the various events during the Expo. Mr.M.B.Nirmal, the Founder and Chief of Exnora International was the Chief Guest of the event.

The event began with the inauguration of the expo by Mr.S.S. Nathan, CEO, BVM group of schools. He addressed the participants from the various schools and declared the event open.

Various models on electricity and experiments on force were exhibited in the Physical Science category. In the Life Science category there were many interesting models on  environmental issues, anatomy of various organs, besides the physiology of some organ systems.

Other events during the expo were crossword, collage and quiz. Cyberstory was a new event introduced during this expo. Participating students had to animate short stories using “Flash.”     

The much awaited aspect of the expo is the prize distribution. The Chief Guest Mr.M.B.Nirmal gave away  prizes to the winners after an interesting presentation on various types of waste and how to make use of solid and liquid waste.

The rolling shield is awarded to the school that has participated in all events during expo and also secured the highest total. This year the rolling shield was awarded to P.S.Senior Sec.School.

The curtain was brought down with the singing of the National Anthem.
