REFLECTIONS – interschool culurals of Vidya Mandir, Mylapore was held on July 1st & 2nd (friday & saturday). The students of std XI participated enthusiastically and have won various events. Sahana, Samriddhi,Ritesh kumar of class XI, Rama Vama of class IX and Akshaya Thyagarajan of class X won the third place in Western Music event. Ishan Venkat of std XI secured the third place in Shipwreck. Arjun Vignesh of std XI secured the first place in J.A.M. Lavanya Krishna of std XI secured the second place in J.A.M. Ishan and Arjun were among the 6 participants who qualified for the ultimate event ' The Reflector'.
AVANT - GARDE ESSENCE - AGE 2011 - interschool cultural festival of D.A.V Public school,Velachery was held on July 6th & 8th. The follwing students have won various events. Rishi Rajendran & Vishal katariya of std XI won the first place in Science Quiz. Akshath Vaidyanathan & S.Aparna of std XI won the second prize in Business Quiz. Arjun Vignesh of std XI secured the first place in J.A.M.
CULTURAL FIESTA of Bharathi Vidyalaya Sr.Sec.School was held on July 9th at the JRD TATA Auditorium,TCS Campus. Our School bagged the Runner up Trophy. The winners of various events are as follows. Pranav Diwakar of std X secured the First place in the Science fiction writing. Lavanya Krishna of std XI won the second place in composing a poem. Ishan venkat of std XI secured the third place in Shipwreck. N.Shivani,Poornima & S.Aparna of std XI & Hari Viswanathan of std X secured the third place in the Sapthaswara music event. P.A.Shilpa of std XII secured the third place in the painting event.
HORLICKS WIZ KIDS 2011- South Asia's Largest inter school Literary and Cultural Fiesta organised by Krayon was held at Kamaraj Arangam Teynampet on July 12th & 13th. P.Yalini of std IX was the 2nd Runner - Up in the Speaker of the year event. Rishi Rajashekar & Vishal Katariya of std XI were the Winners of the Chennai City Level Quiz Competition.
RHAPSODY – Bala Vidya Mandir was the Runners up in RHAPSODY - 2011 an inter school cultural fest of DAV Girls, Gopalapuram which was held on 15th and 16th July . The winners of various events are as follows. B.Samriddhi of std XI & Urhashi.C of Std X secured the first place in the Fashio "N" Fabric event. Antara Pathak & M.Naveena of std XI won the 3rd PLace in Cyber Graffiti - T.Shirt Designing. Kavya Sreekumar of std IX won the First place in Shipwreck. Lavanya krishna of std XI won the first place in J.A.M. Diya Naresh Rao, Madhumita of std XI and T.Gowthami of std X secured the Third place in Quiz. T.Emaya, Madhumita,Radhika, Antara, V.Abhinaya & Sarah Jane of std XI secured the Second place in Adzap. Sreevarshini & N.Akshaya of std XII won the Third place in Mehendi Designing.
SWIRL - 2011 - an inter-school culturals of Sacred Heart , Church Park was held on 22nd and 23rd July 2011. The following students have won various events. Kavya sreekumar of std IX won the First place in Shipwreck and was Qualified for the Ultimate Venture event.Ishan Venkat of std XI won the third place in report writing. Ishan Venkat, Vidyesh of std XI & Nikhil of std XII secured the 3rd place in Quiz. Shreyas Srinivasan of std X won the 3rd place in Monoacting.
REVERBERATIONS – 2011 - an inter school Cultural extravaganza of PSBB Group of schools was held from Aug 24th - 26th. Our school were the Winners of the 'Runner - up' Trophy. The participants are as follows from std XII. R.Vijnesh secured the 2nd place in J.A.M, V.Shraddha secured the third place in shipwreck. Shree varshini and S.Maneisha secured the First place in Tattoo designing. Mridula swaminathan & P.A. Shilpa won the 2nd place in Fashion designing. Aditya kashyap,T.Prashanth & Prithvi menon won the First place in the Basketball sports skill event. Vaibhav,Shreyas, Venkat & Harsha Vardhan won the second place in the football sports skill event. Aneesh, SIddarth Reddy and S.Vignesh won the First place in the cricket skill event. R.Vignesh won the Third place in Quiz. The Western Music Band won the third place. The Group consists of Roshni Sharon Rajan,K.Aditya, Bhaskar Narayanan, Arun Anantharaman, Akshay Thyagarajan from std X & Rama Varma from std IX. Vishruthi.V,V.Balaji, Aditya Jai kumar &Pranay palepu won the Second place in the Channel surfing event. The Dance group comprising of Sarmishta Baliga,Deepika,Aanchal V, Varsha.S,Vandana kumar,Vishaka kumar,Sanjana Reddy,Meghana Prakash and Mridula won the Second place.
KALAVAIBHAVAM - 2011- an inter school cultural fest of The Hindu Sr.Sec School Indira Nagar was held on 29th & 30th July. The following students have won various events. Srinath Kasturirangan & Abhishek Hariharan of std XII won the Third Place in the Lexicon event. Sandhya saravanan of std VII won the 2nd place in the Elocution event. Vishal katariya & Rishi Rajasekar of std XI won the First place in Quiz . Sathvika srinivasan of std VIII, Pooja of std VIII, Neeraja of std VIII, S.Sanjay,Priyanka, Veena and Gowri of std Xi & Hari viswanath of std X won the second place in the group music event.
