Children's Day

The kindergarten celebrated the Children's Day on November 13th, Friday in Vidyapeet. The teachers of BVM Kids and Kindergarten performed a Sing Along programme for the children. Children sang familiar songs and thoroughly enjoyed it.

The primary section of Bala Vidya Mandir celebrated Children's Day with great gusto and fervour. The significance of the day was stressed by the children giving speeches in English, Hindi and Tamil to honour Jawaharlal Lal Nehru, former Prime Minister of India. There were melodious rendering of songs, elocution and a folk dance to add gaeity and joy to the occasion.

The highlight of the celebration was the puppet show which laid emphasis on the importance of friendship and kindness to all. The mythological story of Lord Ganesha's respect for his parents was also brought to life by pupppets.

While the students watched in rapt attention. The Principal Mrs.Sashikala Sriram wished the children and this was followed by sweet distribution.

On 24th of December 2009 about sixty alumni members, teachers and support staff, congregated at the school campus for a re- union. Students as early as the 1988 batch revisited their alma mater to connect with their juniors, teachers and support staff of the school.
